13. Dibao flutters to the butterfly

The scene of welcoming the Buddha's bones became increasingly important. Three days later, the emperor issued an edict saying that as soon as the true body of the Great Sage arrives, the clouds in Chang'an will be glorious, and the city will be filled with joy for a day. The monks will set off fireworks. I personally visit the Qinzheng Building of Xingqing Palace and watch with the people.

At this time, in addition to donating a lot of money to worship Buddha bones into the Longevity Library, countless wealthy people in Chang'an City also set up colorful buildings and sheds along the streets of various places. The great monks in the city held unobstructed meetings, encouraging the people to donate their deeds and do good deeds and be loyal to the royal family. That night, countless fireworks rose up in the mountains and plateaus around the east city of Chang'an City. Gao Yue ordered in advance that a batch of fireworks should be created from Xingyuan and Fengxiang to deliver them to Chang'an City.

For a time, the night in Chang'an was ignited by sparks, reappearing the grand scene of "the tree of light shines thousands of lights, and the flowers and flames bloom in seven branches".

Gao Yue stood on the building in Xuanpingfang's house, enjoying such beautiful scenery with his wife and children. Because the emperor issued an edict to ask the families of Yue Jiedushi from all over the world to come to the capital to respect Buddha bones, Yunshao, Zhihui, Yunhe, and Gao Yue's children all gathered in Chang'an City.

But in this situation, a sad thing was mixed.

Wu Cailuan also came and climbed the building of the high house. The Qibao, whom she was holding, half opened her tired eyes, quietly in the master's arms, the colors of fireworks continued to bloom, reflected in Qibao's pupils.

The treasure is too old, and it has been with the hostess and Cailuan Master for twelve or three years.

It seemed to indicate that it would die. Since the beginning of spring this year, it has rarely eaten or drunk, and has less and less interaction with its mistress, aunt and even son. It always likes to stay silently in a secluded corner, and its head turns to Chang'an for half a day.

"Take it back to Chang'an, in its impression, its hometown is there." Yun Shao touched the head of Qibao, who had not spoken for a moment and sighed.

The sound of fireworks, mixed with solemn and pleasant sounds of Sanskrit, kept coming from the night sky, and Shibao's expression was also stained with solemnity, and finally slowly closed his eyes.

Yunshao, Yunhe, Zhihui, Cailuan and Jing'er all shed tears.

Gao Yue was also very sad, and his hand touched the head of the deceased Shibao:

"Go well, and continue to rush your butterfly with joy and worry-free life in the bamboo forest in front of Longhuani Temple..."

In Yu Gaoyue's memory, time had frozen the treasure at that moment: the towering green bamboos in front of Ni Temple, the green pond water, the little skull running and chasing the butterfly, ran to his feet, and then led out a slightly fat girl with a concentric knot tied with a beautiful face, shy, delicate pink and white crispy holding a silk fan in her hand, looking at herself with a smile.

When he and the girl looked at each other foolishly, Xiao Zi saw a butterfly with more gorgeous wings. She happily raised her black nose, threw them down, and chased the butterfly until she disappeared between the long grass in early summer...

"Qibao is dead. It turns out that in this world, my dear partner will grow old and die." That night, Gao Yue began to think about such a thing for the first time.

In front of the Qinzheng Building in Xingqing Palace, the emperor came here in person to accept the cheers of all the people.

Yiyang put his and Wang Shiping's "son" on Waiweng's knees, which made the emperor laugh, hugged Xiao Chengyue, looked at his eyebrows, eyes, mouth and nose. After looking at it for a while, he felt more and more familiar. He couldn't help but feel happy and also a little sad.

Because the emperor saw that Lingxu was wearing a feathered robe and holding a whisk in his hand, standing in front of the window of Qinzheng Building, looking quietly at the city yard to the south through the fireworks all over the sky, without saying a word.

The next day, the Daming Palace began to hold a grand ceremony for welcoming Buddha bones. The emperor had asked the workshops in the palace to create many pagodas, treasure tents, incense carriages, banners, and banners, all decorated with gold and jade, and also came out to welcome them with the Divine Power Inspectors. The team went from Ximing Temple to Daming Palace, winding and twisting for several miles, and the sound of drums was boiling. When the Buddha bones reached the palace gate, the emperor personally walked down the Danfeng Tower in the long live cheers that shook the sky and bowed to the Buddha bones. After the Buddha bones entered the forbidden area, the inner temple held another unblocked meeting. Empressed monks gathered, officials, scholars, and foreign guests also came to listen.

In the inner temple, the emperor opened the seven-level treasure box containing Buddha bones in front of the palace servants and ministers. Then everyone saw that the so-called "Great Sage's True Body" was a bone-like object about two inches long, white and crystal clear, with a square hole inside, which could just fit into a person's fingertips. Rather than saying that it looks like a thumb bone, it is more like a ring.

After seeing the true body of the Great Sage, at the Wuqiao Conference, Pushe Cui Ning took the lead in presenting a pure gold, worth ten thousand yuan Buddha statue to the emperor as his respect for the Buddha's bones.

Cui Ning is a good example. All the officials in the court understood and worshipped the Buddha's bones in turn.

This time, even Lu Zhi, the servant of the disciple who has always been honest, sold his family's property in advance and collected 500 guan to offer it. Previously, Lu Zhi had 3,000 acres of land, but he also donated it to him because Fengle Temple in Songshan to pray for his deceased mother.

Although Duan Xiushi, Yan Zhenqing, Li Sheng, Ma Sui, Liu Yan and other idle ministers did not express their opinions on the Buddha's bones, they also knew in their hearts that this was actually the emperor who was using the Buddha's bones to unify the people's minds and thoughts of the world and gathered the military supplies for the war, so they also made their own contributions.

The ministers who believe in Buddhism will definitely be even more generous when taking action, and thousands or even tens of thousands of coins will not be a problem.

Then many imperial concubines donated their own gold and jade jewelry. Cui Yunshao, as the wife of the founding duke of Jijun, donated 5,000 jin of jewelry and clothing worth 5,000 jin, and other imperial concubines followed suit.

After the true body of the Great Sage was worshipped in the Daming Palace Monastery for three days, the emperor placed it in Chonghua Courtyard in Anguo Temple in the capital, and arranged it for another ten days to continue to accept donations from all over the world.

The fanatical worship of Buddha bones in Chang'an City has increased and even caused several bloody chaos:

After seeing the Buddha's bones, a soldier in Shenwei Army felt that donating clothes and money could no longer express his respect, so he actually cut off his arm and delivered it to the Buddha's bones;

A monk from a tourist side trayed the mugwort on his head and ignited the fire. He screamed in pain and wanted to put out the fire above his head. As a result, he was held down by several rogue evil boys and scolded him for being dishonest. So the monk's head was burned to half burnt, lying on the roadside of Anguo Temple and was dying. He was finally carried away. He didn't know how to live or die.

Someone else blew, and the Buddha's bones appeared in Chang'an City, and Guanyin came again in Zhongnan Mountain. Soldiers and the masses who did not know the truth ran to see it. They were also famous Shenwei soldiers. Seeing the light of lanterns at night, they shouted that it was Guanyin's Buddha's light, and ran over to worship, and then screamed. They were taken away by the tiger in Zhongnan Mountain. The lantern was not a Buddha's light at all, but the eyes of a tiger.

In the end, the emperor asked the city patrol supervisor to maintain the order of Chonghua Academy, which reduced a lot of this absurdity.
