5, Chapter 5(1/2)

The escaped dragon is undoubtedly good news for Ilsa.

If I remember correctly, this dragon has always followed the goddess in the original book. To be precise, it should be regarded as the goddess's follower or... pet?

No matter what, the dragon belongs to her, and she must not let the Holy Temple and Long Aotian take away this killer weapon.

Who knows if the people in the temple are really loyal to the goddess.

Ilsa had some concerns in her mind, but she still had a smile on her face. She glanced at the barbecue and said in a pityful tone: "Brother Alan, are you really not going to eat it? The barbecue won't taste good if it gets cold."

"You can eat, I'm not hungry." Alan raised the corner of his mouth slightly and declined her softly.

"Oh well."

Ilsa no longer insisted. She quickly finished the plate of barbecue, wiped her mouth, stood up and bowed awkwardly to Alan.

"Brother, please have a good rest and Wendy won't disturb you."

Alan smiled: "Okay, go back to sleep."

"Good night, brother Alan."

"Good night, Wendy."

Ilsa ran away with the empty plate. Alan looked at her petite figure and suddenly realized something——

It seems like this little guy’s goal from beginning to end is that plate of meat?

One night passed, and Ilsa fell asleep peacefully to the lullaby hummed by Maxie.

The next day, thinking about the important task of accompanying Mahi and his wife, she got up early.

Early in the morning, with mist lingering, villagers came out to see the knights off.

Maxie held Ilsa's little hand and walked to Alan with Karl.

Alan handed a white spar polished into the shape of a six-pointed star to Karl. The spar glowed quietly in the palm of Karl's hand, shining with a soft and sacred white light.

"This is the holy light crystal created by the temple. It can drive away evil spirits and resist disasters for you." Alan explained slowly.

Karl held the spar gratefully: "Thank you, Lord Knight..."

Alan turned his face slightly and his eyes fell on Ilsa.

"Brother Alan." Ilsa called softly.

Alan leaned over and touched her hair: "Wendy, remember what I told you. If you have a chance in the future, you can come to the temple to find me."

Ilsa said happily: "I'm going to find my brother. Will he play with me?"

Alan chuckled: "Yes."

"Yeah, then I'm going to the temple!" Ilsa waved her little fist excitedly, "Temple! Temple! Temple..."

Everyone couldn't help laughing when they looked at this cutie who seemed to have been injected with chicken blood. The knights also laughed for a while, then straightened their bodies and solemnly said their final goodbyes to everyone: "Well, everyone, I'll see you again."

"Goodbye, Lord Knight!"

"Knights, please walk slowly..."

The knights bowed slightly, then turned around and gradually left amid the blessings of the villagers.

After their figures disappeared completely, the villagers also went home one by one and began their busy day.

Ilsa's breakfast today was soft white bread and hot milk. After breakfast, she followed Carl to the sheep pen to experience the joy of milking the sheep.

...can’t squeeze.

After spraying herself with goat milk, Ilsa went to the kitchen to watch Mahi making apple pie. Seeing that she was covered in milk, Mahi had to put down what she was doing, hold her in her arms and take another bath. In Elsa

With Sa's help (troublemaking), Mahi and Karl spent a very fulfilling and happy half-day.

Maxi felt that she had never been so happy.

In the afternoon, the voice of Shen Nian appeared again.

"Ilsa, the day is over, you can go back."

Ilsa looked at Mahi who was cutting fruit attentively next to her and couldn't help but sigh slightly.

"Oh, is it over so soon? I still want to continue to accompany them..."

"Ilsa, there are more important things waiting for you."

"I know, I know."

Ilsa sat up from the bed and called softly: "Mom."

Maxi raised her head and looked at her with a smile: "What's the matter, Wendy?"

"Mom, call dad here too. I have something very important to tell you."

The little girl was sitting by the bed, her young face serious and serious. The childlike innocence in her suddenly disappeared, and was replaced by a feeling that was almost compassionate and pure.

Mahi vaguely realized something and hurriedly ran out to call Karl over.

The two of them stood in front of Ilsa, looking at her uneasily.

"Mom, do you remember what you did before you met me yesterday?"

Mahi replied hesitantly: "I, I just came out of the doctor's clinic..."

"What happened after that? Did you cry?" Ilsa guided her softly, "What were you thinking about at that time?"

"I'm thinking..." Mahi's voice suddenly trembled, "I'm asking the goddess to give me a child, even if this child can only stay with me for one day..."

"Then what?"

"Then you showed up... Could it be...?" Maxi covered her mouth in shock, and she and Karl looked at the girl in front of them in disbelief.

"I will be your child for a day, mom."

Ilsa let out a gentle sigh. She stretched out her hand and touched Mahi's cheek lightly with her fingertips. "The goddess heard your prayer, so she asked me to come here. Mom, this is a gift from the goddess to you."

Mahi seemed to be waking up from a big dream, and her whole body was in a huge shock.

She stared at Ilsa blankly, her eyes pious and joyful: "It's the goddess... The goddess heard my wish, Karl, the goddess loves us..."

"Yes, yes, the goddess is with us, and she has not abandoned us..." Tears welled up in Karl's eyes. He hugged Mahi tightly and repeated his excited words.

Ilsa watched them quietly, her voice soft and warm: "Now that the day has passed, it's time for me to go back."

"Are you leaving? Can you stay one more day?" Mahi looked at her with tears in her eyes.

Ilsa gently wiped away the tears on Mahi's face: "Mom, my time is up."

Her body gradually became lighter, and Mahi burst into tears.

In a soft light, Marcy cried and asked her: "Wendy, will we ever see you again?"

"Yes." Ilsa's voice became more and more ethereal, and her figure became more and more transparent, "Maybe one day in the future, I will meet you in another form."

"Be happy, dad, mom."

The last shadow shone quietly, and she turned into countless light spots in the gentle whisper, completely dissipating.

The monastery in the afternoon was silent and peaceful. The nuns walked softly in the church, and the statue of the goddess was still holy and beautiful.

"How is it? Has your faith increased?" As soon as she returned to the statue of the goddess, Ilsa couldn't wait to ask about the results this time.

"It's a lot, it's sufficient, and it's still increasing." Shen Nian's tone sounded satisfied.

"Then can I get rid of the girly look now?"

"It's possible, but it can't be maintained for too long, otherwise the amount of faith consumed will increase..."

"Oh no, let's go find the dragon now."

She had had enough of being a god. After just one day of experience, she was even more certain that she wanted to become a human and she wanted to leave this monastery!

"Go now?" The voice of Divine Mind hesitated, "Although I have collected a lot of faith this time, it is still not enough to support you in going out to find dragons. Our suggestion is to save more until you have enough faith.

It’s not too late to set off again.”

Faith can be transformed into divine power. Although it is meager, it is enough for Ilsa to protect herself.

Ilsa's attitude was decided: "No, we can't wait any longer. If we wait any longer, the dragon will be killed. This is the only ancient dragon. Are you willing to let him fall into the hands of others?"

Ilsa has always insisted that she can feel at ease only if she holds anything in her own hands. Apart from herself, everything, whether personal or camp, is full of uncertainty.

And uncertainty is the most dangerous invisible bomb.

"Well, if you must do this, then at least keep the appearance of a child when you go out. This can minimize the consumption of faith."

Shen Nian made further compromises.

"No, Wendy's identity can no longer be used. Have you ever seen any god use the same vest over and over again?" Ilsa said plausibly.

"I've seen it."

Ilsa: "Those are gods without qualifications. I am different from them."

"..."

Shen Nian continued to dissuade her: "Constantine is not as easy to find as you think. If you cannot maintain the incarnation for a long time, you may come back here before you find Constantine."
To be continued...
