38, Chapter 38(2/2)

The night seems to have never been so dark.

The angel stood in front of the piles of corpses, his white robes stained with dark blood.

Looking at these familiar blue-grey faces, he felt as if a huge hole had been opened in his heart.

"...It's all my fault. It was me who harmed everyone." He murmured, "My God, please guide me, what should I do?"

"What can I do to save them?"

The night sky was dead silent. Ilsa couldn't bear to look at him and was about to give him some comfort when Samuel suddenly raised his face with bright eyes.

"By the way, I can go and ask my God! My God has mercy on the world, and she will definitely save them!"

Ilsa frowned slightly.

She felt that this method would not work. The goddess could hear the prayers of believers. If she really wanted to save these people, she could have taken action long ago, so why wait until now?

However, Samuel had no doubts about the goddess's love. He spread his wings quickly, and before Ilsa could stop him, he quickly disappeared into the dark night like the wind.

He wants to save everyone, he wants to save Ilsa.

He wants to save these unfortunate humans.
