Chapter 1 Interrogation

"Soldier, report your title to the commander!"

"Yes, sir, my name is Sean, a sergeant."

"You don't have a last name?"

"There seems to be, oh, there should be, I don't remember..."

"Can not remember?"

"Yes, sir, you know that I suffered a serious head injury and was in a coma for a full month. When I woke up, I was often dizzy and in a trance..."

This is a room in a monastery converted into a nursing home for wounded soldiers in the small border town of Als. The sunlight shines in through the glass window and shines on Sean's face.

This is a pale, young and handsome face. The owner is thin and weak. Because he is quite tall, he looks like a slender bamboo pole. He seems to be trying hard to maintain an upright posture, but his body is too weak and is shaky.

Sitting in front of him were three officers in gorgeous military uniforms. The leader in the middle was a dignified-looking lieutenant colonel, who was dignified yet elegant.

The person who had been questioning Sean just now was a serious-looking captain sitting on the left of the lieutenant colonel. On the right hand of the lieutenant colonel sat a young second lieutenant. It seemed that the second lieutenant was responsible for the clerk.

The lieutenant colonel said at this time: "Sergeant Sean, please sit down and talk."

"OK!"

"Use honorifics to your superiors!" the lieutenant's tone was still cold.

"Yes, thank you, sir!" Sean responded quickly.

The lieutenant colonel patted Sean on the shoulder to signal him not to be too serious. He found that Sean's face seemed paler than before, and thought that his physical condition was not strong enough to support this interview.

"Are you okay? How about we talk another day? The Imperial Military Command should not interrogate a prisoner like a prisoner, asking for information from a soldier who is fighting for the country."

The lieutenant colonel tried to keep his tone calm and cordial.

Sean said:

"Thank you for your concern, sir. I'm... okay, just..."

Sean pointed to his head.

The lieutenant colonel showed sympathy and sadness: "This war was too tragic. The collapse of the Ars Mountains defense line was unexpected by everyone. We deployed too many troops on the defense line. The barbarian army's surprise attack

We were so caught off guard that we did not have enough troops to defend our rear. Once we were broken through, the enemy would be in a no-man's land.

We have lost too many outstanding officers and soldiers. Even His Royal Highness the Crown Prince has devoted himself to this cruel war, not to mention civilians. Almost every family in the eighteen provinces north of Longjiang has done so.

It was a funeral, and we witnessed so many tragic things with our own eyes that we were all a little numb.

Sean, please allow me to call you this. Does the information say that you suffered a severe head injury and can’t remember anything?”

Sean listened silently, his mind really blank. 48 hours ago, he was a 21st century Chinese citizen on earth named Xiao Mingen.

No one knows what kind of world this is, but now he is speaking a language he has never heard of.

"Yes, sir. I can't even remember my parents' names." Sean climbed along the pole.

"Well, the answer is correct." The lieutenant colonel curled his lips and glanced at the documents on the table in front of him, "The documents say that you are the adopted son of a priest named Connery in Poitou, the capital of the province of Rebia.

He was placed at the door of the church a few days after he was born."

"Oh." Sean sweated profusely, and an unhealthy red color appeared on his pale face.

"Sorry, I shouldn't tease you about this. This is not a gentleman's behavior." The lieutenant colonel said this, but his eyes were carefully observing Sean's reaction.

"Sir, the truth is, I don't know whether I should accept your apology or not." Sean shook his head, "I would be very grateful if you could give me a copy of the information about me. You know, my brain is affected.

I was seriously injured and I can’t remember anything about the past. All information about me will help me restore my memory.”

The lieutenant colonel nodded, but did not comment and continued to ask:

"Sergeant Sean, you are one of the few surviving soldiers of the 21st Infantry Division. So we really want to know what happened at the No. 7 defensive position at dusk on March 18, 1830 in the Shenlong Era."

Sean thought hard, and in fact the memory of this body was not all blank, but that evening he only remembered the setting sun like blood, and the tragic cry of killing.

The lieutenant colonel's question was like a trigger, and endless information burst into his mind like a movie, giving Sean a splitting headache.

"Sergeant Sean, can you explain to us how you captured a 'blood warrior' before you fell into coma..."

Sean couldn't bear the tremendous mental pressure and fainted to the ground under the surprised eyes of the lieutenant colonel and others.
