On March 19, just as China and Japan were in the Great Wall and the east of the Luan River, the Northwest People's Radio Station played a statement and three songs from the People's Military Government during the trial broadcast.

That’s right, there are three songs! After discussing with Zhao Zhenzhong, Zhou Hao also played the sad tone, full of bitterness and unwillingness to the song.

In the statement, the People's Army solemnly promised that during the Great Wall, unless it was attacked outside the outside world, the People's Army would guard the borders and never do anything that the relatives would feel sorry for the enemy and would be happy. They would also support the soldiers of the War of Resistance.

When the prelude of the Joseon horn sounded in the "March of the Volunteers", and the subsequent sounds of "building a new Great Wall with our flesh and blood" and "advance forward under the enemy's artillery fire" shouted out, all the soldiers of the People's Army who heard the radio from the speakers in the northwest base area were in a state of solemnity.

When the lyrics such as "The Big Sword Cuts the Devils' heads", "The Northeast Volunteers in front, and the people of the whole country behind" were sung, in addition to the pleasure in his heart, the People's Army remembered the purpose of "everything for the people" that the troops have always implemented, and felt the heavy responsibility on their shoulders.

When the song "Dad, Dad, Dad, When will I gather together" in "On Songhua River" was sung, although the soldiers of the People's Army did not have a real experience of falling under the bayonet of foreign enemies, most of them were orphans. When they remembered the scene where their parents left the opportunity to survive for themselves in natural disasters and man-made disasters, they also felt sad and shed tears.

Taking advantage of the opportunity to organize everyone to listen to the songs, Zhang Mingrui, Yang Tianming and others organized institutions of the People's Party at all levels in the People's Army to go deep into the army, instill the concepts of the country and nation for everyone, promote the ideas of "everything for the people" advocated by the People's Party, understand the actual situation of the army, solve the difficulties faced, and further unify the thoughts of officers and soldiers.

In order to enable more Chinese people to hear the voices from the northwest, the People's Military Government's statement and three songs were played in three periods within 5 days, early, mid and late. With the radio waves, this statement and three songs were continuously transmitted to all directions.

Lianhua Pictures Company, which has branches in Peking, Shanghai and Hong Kong, keenly feels the power represented by these three songs and its motivational effect on the current Chinese people. Under the decision of the company's head Luo Mingyou, Lianhua Pictures Company reprinted the records of these two songs and promoted them to the outside world.

From September 18 to January 28, the Chinese people heard about frustrating bad news such as non-resistance, defeat, loss of territory, peace, etc. The current Great Wall War of Resistance may be equally difficult to make people optimistic. When the three songs "March of the Volunteers", "March of the Big Sword", and "On the Songhua River" spread, the Chinese people suddenly found resonance in their hearts.

After hearing the two exciting songs such as "The March of the Volunteers" and "The March of the Great Sword", the general public, especially young students and patriotic officers and soldiers, had long suppressed the humiliation and unwillingness in their hearts. For a time, many students from large and medium-sized cities, workers' strikes and boycotts of Japanese goods, and other movements of escalating. The soldiers in front who were fighting against the Japanese army on the front line of the Great Wall were even more excited. In order to eliminate the Japanese army, many officers and soldiers died with the enemy.

The singing of "On Songhua River" made everyone feel the profound disaster brought by the authorities' non-resistance policy and the sadness in the hearts of the helpless people. Especially the refugees who fled from outside the pass to the pass, as well as the soldiers of the Northeast Army, remembering that their relatives and friends outside the pass were living under the bayonet of the Japanese army, and when they knew when they would return to their hometown, they all burst into tears. After crying, the generals of the Northeast Army who stayed in the rear faced the grassroots officers and soldiers who demanded to fight back to their hometown in groups.

"It's chaos, it's chaos! These bandits are really hateful!" He Yingqin, who had been the acting chairman of the Peking Branch of the Military Commission, was furious when he listened to his subordinates' reports that students in Peking were on strike and workers went on strike. He marched and demonstrated together, shouting slogans such as "Boycott Japanese goods and fight back to the Northeast".

After listening to several songs and the dynamics from all walks of life from Peking, Yan Xishan, who was in Taiyuan, said with emotion: "The kids in the west should not be underestimated. A few lyrics have triggered such a great momentum. It's a bit like three songs that can be used as a hundred thousand soldiers."

"Donald Yan, since the People's Army has made such a statement, it will be broadcast to the whole country for several consecutive days. It seems that it is true." Yang Aiyuan said, "You might as well remind He Jingzhi that Yisheng, Yin Fu and other troops can go to the front line of the Great Wall."

On March 10, Chiang Kai-shek went north to Baoding to discuss the Great Wall War of Resistance with Zhang Xueliang on Peking and Zhang's resignation. Later, on March 11, Chiang Kai-shek met with Yan Xishan in Shijiazhuang to discuss the issue of transferring the Shanxi-Sui Army to take over the defense of Chahar. Yan Xishan agreed to transfer some Shanxi-Sui Army to the command of the Beiping Military Branch without affecting the security of Shanxi-Sui Provinces.

Since Fu Zuoyi published a "Letter to the People of the Province" in the name of the Suiyuan Provincial Government on January 15, calling on compatriots in Suiyuan Province to work together to save the country and resist the aggression. Zhao Chengshou's cavalry unit had strong motivation, so Chiang Kai-shek and Yan Xishan agreed that the time was urgent that Fu Zuoyi and Zhao Chengshou must be dispatched to the front line of the Great Wall. However, considering the possible actions of the People's Army, the order for the dispatch of troops had not been officially issued.

In history, Fu Zuoyi and Zhao Chengshou went to the front line of the Great Wall's War of Resistance on January 25, and led their troops to Dulun in February to block the Japanese and puppet troops that invaded Dushikou and Dulun. But now, due to the rise of the People's Army in the northwest, the troops that originally participated in the Great Wall's War of Resistance have not yet set off.

Since the People's Army has played statements and songs to the whole country many times through radio, it seems that this matter should be reliable. Yan and Yang have also been thinking about it. If they take the opportunity to control Jahar again, the strength of the Jinsui Army will be able to reach a higher level.

"Okay. Just go and draft a telegram and I'll issue it." After listening to Yang Aiyuan's suggestion, Yan Xishan thought for a moment and nodded in agreement.

After receiving Yan Xishan's signature telegram, He Yingqin from Peking pondered for a while and called Lao Chiang in Nanjing. After receiving the approval, he also ordered Suiyuan and Shaanxi to transfer Fu Zuoyi, Zhao Chengshou and Feng Qinza to the front line of the Great Wall. This increased the number of Chinese troops in the Great Wall and surrounding areas by about 70,000 troops. Yan Xishan jokingly said that the People's Army's "Three Songs can be used as 100,000 soldiers" really tasted a little. Of course, what really made He Yingqin dare to issue the transfer order was the People's Army's statement.

After receiving the order of transfer, Fu Zuoyi, Zhao Chengshou and Feng Qinzai were in different places, but they were less disappointed and more solemn. As soldiers who have fought for many years of civil war, it is a great honor to have the opportunity to fight foreign enemies and fight for the country. But when they think about the current gap in combat power between the Japanese army and the damage numbers from the front line, the few people had to think more about it.

Seeing Feng Qinzai pondering, Deputy Commander Guo Jingtang was a little surprised: "Old Feng, haven't you been looking forward to fighting the Japanese devils before? Why is it so stunned when the transfer order is here now?"

Feng Qinzai's head shook and said, "As soldiers, who doesn't look like fighting for the country? This time, Lao Feng would like to thank the children in the west for their statements. However, if we lead the troops to the battlefield, we should always think more about it. These people went to the battle, but I don't know how many people came back. I thought about buying some land, and it would be better to help some brothers solve some difficulties after the war."

After the Central Plains War, Feng Qinzai led his troops to Shaanxi with Yang Hucheng. At that time, Shaanxi suffered natural disasters for years, and the people fled, and the land was extremely cheap. Feng Qinzai established the Land Office of the 42nd Division and purchased more than 2,000 acres of land in Dali to resettle the lives of officers and disabled soldiers. He also founded the "Shangqin Primary School" with more than 500 acres to solve the enrollment problem of the children of the military and civilians in the resident area, and also established a theater troupe. Of course, he personally purchased hundreds of acres of land in Dali and Meixian to supplement his family income.

Now that we are going to the front line of the War of Resistance Against Japan, Feng Qinzai also thought of the pension issues of disabled soldiers and sacrificed officers and soldiers after the war. In theory, these things should be solved by the Shaanxi Provincial Government or the Nanjing authorities, but Feng Qinzai understood that the guys in the yamen were very unreliable, and it was better to think about some more things than to think about them.

Guo Jingtang naturally agreed with Feng Qinzai's idea, so the two discussed the matters after the war.

Just when Shaanxi troops were rushing to the front line of the anti-Japanese war, on March 27, after the commander of the Kwantung Army, Muto Nobuyi, adjusted his troops and ordered an attack on the Chinese army east of the Luan River.

In view of the urgent difficulties of the Great Wall, Muto Nobuyi first sought to repel the Chinese defenders east of the Luan River, then attacked from the front and flanks, and then took the Lengkou and then advanced to other mountain passes in the Great Wall. As long as the Lengkou and Xifengkou are controlled, it will be much easier to concentrate troops to attack Gubeikou.

Due to the adjustment of Muto's attack direction, the Chinese and Japanese troops also launched fierce battles at key points in Luandong and repeatedly fought for it. The Shimenzhai, defended by the 57th Army, Haiyang Town, was occupied by the Japanese Iwata Detachment and other units on April 1 and 4; the Lengkou, defended by the 32nd Army, and the Jianchang Camp, fell into the hands of the 6th Division of the Japanese Army on the 11th; the Jielingkou, defended by the 53rd Army, was also lost on April 12.

Seeing that the situation in Luandong was not good, He Yingqin urgently ordered the 40th Army Pang Bingxun's troops and the 67th Army Wang Yizhe's troops to rush to rescue from Malan Pass, Gubeikou and other places. However, the Japanese offensive was fierce, with planes blowing on their heads, artillery bombardment on the ground, and tanks charged. The tactics of each defender were single, which was really difficult to resist. In order to avoid further collapse of the situation, from April 14 to 17, He Yingqin ordered the 32nd Army, the 57th Army, and the 53rd Army to retreat to the west bank of the Luan River to defend. Funing and Changli counties in Hedong fell immediately. The Chinese and Japanese troops confronted each other across the Luan River.

Due to the loss of Lengkou, the Xifengkou defenders who were attacked from both sides were forced to retreat. At this time, after Lengkou was taken down, Muto Nobuyi was worried that the Japanese army would cause interference from Britain, the United States and other countries, so he ordered the troops entering the pass to immediately withdraw from the Great Wall line on the 19th. The Chinese defenders took the opportunity to follow up and recovered Qian'an, Lulong, Changli, Funing, Beidaihe and other places on the 29th.

But at this time, Lengkou and Xifengkou had fallen into the control of the Japanese army, and the Japanese army outside the pass could attack the Chinese army at any time. Although Qian'an, Lulong, Changli, Funing, Beidaihe and other places were recovered, the Chinese army did not have the ability to defend it.

From April 20 to 26, Huang Jie's 2nd Division and others carried out arduous defensive battles at the Nantianmen south of Gubeikou for 8 days and nights. After paying the price of more than 3,000 casualties and causing a lot of losses to the Japanese army, they were forced to retreat.

At this point, the front line of the Great Wall, the Lengkou, Xifengkou and Gubeikou, which are both inside and outside the pass, are all under the control of the Japanese army. The Great Wall War carried out by the Chinese army has actually failed.

However, although the end of this battle is no longer suspense, the war has not ended at this time. The battle between China and Japan continues and continues until late May...
