Chapter 7 Nightfall

after sunset,

The rock dragon transformed back into a small rocky mountain, and there was no more movement.

Grant guessed that the rock dragon would not be active at night, but he did not take it lightly.

‘Is this monster disguised? Pretending to be a pile of rocks, waiting for creatures to approach and then trampling them to death.’

Gran quietly observed the stone mountain.

After a long time, several birds flew to Shishan and pecked at the moss on his rock armor, but Shishan didn't react at all.

After seeing this, Gran began to believe that the rock dragon had begun to rest. Of course, he had no intention of approaching the rock mountain and decided to take advantage of this time to stay away from it and look for food.

After the foraging was completed, Gran returned to the area near the stone mountain based on his memory. He felt that his memory had been enhanced after evolution, and he did not forget how to return to the pond like he did on the first day.

Those birds have flown away, and the stone mountain has not changed. It seems to be no different from before he left.

Gran believed that the rock dragon had fallen asleep, so he decided to take advantage of this time to rest himself.

He had not rested since the end of his evolution last night. Now he could no longer resist the sleepiness, so he found a relatively strong tree and climbed up to rest.

The next night,

Grant skillfully climbed up a tree and killed a sleeping bird.

This bird is guarding a nest with several eggs in it.

Gran carefully transported the bird's nest and the bird's carcass to the foot of the tree, which would be his dinner today.

After eating the bird carcass together with the bones, Gran began to enjoy the eggs.

"Oh, you are so unlucky that you met a hungry me at this time."

Although he thought so in his heart, Gran had no intention of letting go of these eggs out of compassion.

He was tracking the Rockland Wurm again during the day.

This Tianyandi Yalong did not kill any creatures. He could not pick up fresh corpses to eat, and he also failed to prey on birds later.

This bird and these eggs were the first food Grant got today. He was already hungry, so there was no way he could let them go.

He cracked open the eggshell and licked the egg liquid clean. Gran ate it very deliciously.

He has basically adapted to the life of a lizard and is finding food more and more smoothly.

It's just that this kind of life still relies heavily on luck, and there will always be times when you starve.

I had no choice but to adapt to starvation.

After cleaning up the place after the meal, Gran climbed to a small rocky mountain.

The Yandi Yalong rested here after sunset today, showing no signs of moving at all.

Therefore, Glen officially came to the conclusion that rock dragons do not move at night.

Gran still didn't fully believe the conclusion he came to, and spent several more days observing the rock dragon.

Spending so much time on this made him hungry, and he was a little tired from being active day and night.

But he felt that it was worth it, because after these days of observation, he had temporarily concluded that the rock dragon would not move at night and would only wake up after early morning.

Also, this monster's staple food is rocks and minerals, and it will not eat living things at all.

But being caught by this cruel monster would be much more painful than being used as food.

After understanding some of the monster's ecological habits, Gran felt much more relaxed. He changed his schedule to resting during the day and coming out in the evening.

In the evening, I look for the location of the Rockland Drake, confirm that it has started to rest, and then start moving. During this period, I will go back to observe the Rockland Drake when I have free time.

He is still very worried about the rock dragon. Who can treat such a cruel monster calmly?

With this mood in mind, Gran lived in the forest for several more days.

One night,

Glen stayed in the tree and stared at the night sky.

Two full moons hang in the sky, their respective colors dyeing the sky red and blue on both sides, connected by mottled purple in the middle.

The stars looked a little dim, as if they were afraid of the two full moons.

This was the most beautiful night scene that Glen had ever seen. A cool breeze was blowing at this time, and the breeze blowing on his body made him feel extremely comfortable.

He felt that his soul was releasing excitement, even though he knew it was impossible to happen.

The only thing that bothered him was that the auditory hallucinations appeared in his mind again, which made him extremely irritated.

He couldn't use dragon language to dispel these sounds like last time. This would probably awaken the rock dragon and put him in crisis again.

The auditory hallucination is at least safer than the rockland dragon, he will not be crushed to death by the auditory hallucination.

During this period of time, Gran felt that he had figured out the monster's behavior.

The times that made him feel the most restless every day were only during the day when the Rockland Dragon was awake and at dusk when the Rockland Dragon was waiting for it to fall asleep. The rest of the time he spent was relatively comfortable.

In this forest, the only ones that he could feel threatened were the adult pterosaurs, other than the rock dragon.

But adult pterosaurs will not take the initiative to attack him. They prefer to prey on those weak birds rather than risk attacking the larger Gran.

He no longer needs to worry and be afraid all day long, which makes him feel much more at ease.

During this period of time, Gran has opened the system many times. He has accumulated 76 evolution points, but the conditions for the second evolution have not been completed yet.

Unlocking the first evolution is after he collects 10 evolution points, so the second evolution should require 100 points, or 200 points? What about the third time, does it have to be 1,000 points?

What should he do if he wants 1000 points for the third time?

There is an upper limit for the number of evolution points you can select from each food ingredient. It will definitely become more and more difficult to obtain evolution points in the future, and the demand for evolution points will also become larger and larger.

If this continues, the need for evolution points will become a hole that he cannot fill.

"I have to find more ways to get evolution points."

With this goal in mind, Gran tried to develop the task bar in the system. So far, he has only obtained two tasks, one is to eat a large number of carrion, and the other is to kill the rock dragon.

These are all tasks that cannot be completed at this stage.

Gran had thought of killing the rock dragon. After all, this was the biggest threat he encountered in this forest. If he could eradicate this monster, he would be free and at ease.

For this reason, he went to observe the rock dragon many times, trying to formulate a method to kill the rock dragon with his current ability.

He learned a lot about the ecological habits of the rock dragon, but so far he has not found the weakness of the rock dragon.

"Perhaps we can move all the rocks away so that the rock dragon will either starve to death or leave here."

This idea suddenly appeared in Gran's mind, and then he immediately rejected it.

How long would it take to move all the rocks? If he had this ability, he wouldn't need to worry about the rock dragon.

Gran looked at the two bright moons in the sky and fell into confusion again.

Just at this time,

A huge roar came from the forest, followed by countless pterosaurs and birds escaping from the woods.

Gran could feel the hostility in the roar and recognized it as the roar of the rock dragon.

"How is it possible? Shouldn't the monster be resting at this time? What on earth provoked it?" Gran felt very uneasy.

Along with the sound of trees being overturned, roars continued one after another.

Gran plucked up the courage to climb down the tree, planning to rely on the cover of the night and the trees to see what was going on over there with the Rockland Wurm.

He kept his voice to a minimum to avoid being discovered by the rock dragon.

Then climb towards the stone mountain.

Sudden,

A small tree was thrown at him.

Glen narrowly avoided the attack.

Immediately afterwards,

He saw huge orange-red eyes like lanterns.
