There are 13 people in each squad of the Japanese army, including the squad leader, 4 machine gun shooters and 8 riflesmen. There is a light machine gun, with four people (commander, shooter, and two ammunition-carrying deputy shooters). These four people are equipped with self-defense pistols and sometimes carry rifles in battle (except machine gun shooters); the remaining eight riflesmen each have a single-shot rifle. Among the specially strengthened troops, the strengthened squad will be equipped with an additional 50mm grenade launcher carried by two people.

Among these small number of gun companies, some of them are lucky enough to be assigned to 20mm anti-tank guns, and can be organized into 4 24-person platoons equipped with 2 anti-tank guns. In this case, the ammunition platoon must be expanded to 39 people.

A very small number of corps have a 364-person artillery brigade, two 170-person squadrons, and four guns each.

The anti-tank squadron of the wing has 122 people: a company with 20 people, an ammunition platoon of 21 people, and a 33-man gun platoon (each has two 37mm anti-tank guns).
