Bajiquan basic skills practice

"With Tai Chi in literature, and with Baji to stabilize the world," it can be seen that Bajiquan's status in Chinese martial arts. In the history of Bajiquan, there are also many famous scholars. In order to satisfy the support and love of Bajiquan enthusiasts for this magazine, this article: Fij specially invited famous martial artists, Mr. Zhu Baode, Secretary-General of the Bajiquan Research Association of Bajiquan Research Association, to write a series of articles on Bajiquan research for this magazine. Bajiquan is a famous and excellent traditional boxing type widely circulated at home and abroad. It is famous for its vigorous and violent style and its close-fitting skills, and is unique among the many schools of Chinese martial arts.

Bajiquan is a complete school system. In its more than 200-year history, from routine exercises, training to martial arts and fighting, it has lasted for a long time. It should be the embodiment of the excellent wisdom of the ancestors of Bajiquan and the crystallization of blood and sweat. In the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China, Li Shuwen (1862-1934), an outstanding representative figure in the Baji sect, was famous for his masters and pure skills, and was famous overseas with his supernatural and exquisite big gun skills. He developed Bajiquan to a new level. As a result, Bajiquan also gained reputation at home and abroad, and those who seek skills are like crucian carp crossing the river.

Since Bajiquan combines "fitness and martial arts into one furnace", it can adapt to the innate natural energy, practice human spirit and health, cultivate both internal organs and external bodies, and become stronger and coordinated. After systematic training, it can make people energetic, full of energy, and strong inside and outside the human body. In terms of practicality, it fully demonstrates the profoundness of traditional martial arts, the combination of hardness and softness, and the exquisite roots of martial arts and the soul of martial arts. It has enabled many martial arts experts and scholars at home and abroad to visit the origin of Bajiquan many times to search for the roots, discuss, dig, and organize Bajiquan, and seek the connotation of its martial arts training system and highly practical technical system, so as to use its own advantages to achieve great success.

I have practiced Bajiquan since I was a child. Although I have not achieved great success, I am willing to divide the content of the Bajiquan school system into several parts based on what I have learned and explore it with my friends in the martial arts world. I aim to draw bricks and attract jade, and work with the vast number of Bajiquan enthusiasts to promote the legacy of Chinese traditional culture, Bajiquan.

Basic skills of Bajiquan - Baji small frame

Any thing has its own unique form of movement in the process of development. Bajiquan gathers the strengths of hundreds of schools, and in its hundreds of years of development and evolution, it has gradually formed two forms of movement, namely confrontation and routine exercise.

Routines are the main manifestation of martial arts. Its historical achievements are to connect the attack, defensive and fighting moves and systematically preserve them, thus making martial arts a relatively complete system. The routines of Bajiquan have been similar in terms of routine drills since the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China. The main routines include small frames (also known as old frames), Bajiquan (also known as big frames), singles (empty frames), six major moves, eight major moves, Vajra Eight Styles, etc. In addition, there are many random moves and multiple random moves. In addition, there are equipment drill systems with **-large guns as the core. From the early 1950s to the present, Bajiquan boxing routines have changed to nearly a hundred sets.

As the basic skills of Bajiquan, the small frame is the original boxing path, the essence of this boxing technique, and contains extremely rich martial arts and varied martial arts. The predecessors of Bajiquan who taught boxing at the beginning of the game, they first used Bajiquan small frame as an extremely important training course, and the requirements were extremely strict. The so-called "the foundation is not solid, the earth moves and the mountain shakes."

Can you get a rich feast when practicing small racks?

It is the key to whether the Bajiquan system can reach a high level. In other words, practicing Baji small frame well is a crucial way to obtain the exquisite truth of "melting fitness and fighting into one furnace". The song of small frame changes, the key points of small frame practice, the standardization of small frame walking styles, standardized movement requirements, and various usage and variation methods of small frames fully reflect the cultural connotation of Bajiquan.

"Bajiquan Book" on: "Small frames are the basic skills of the Baji Sect. Beginners must start with the small frame. Practice this path well and practice Bajiquan again... Although the entire set of small frames is only more than twenty styles, the essence of Bajiquan martial arts has been included in it. Most practitioners look down on it because of their simple styles, but in fact they have many changes and summarize the essence of various boxing techniques..."

Bajiquan is a type of boxing that cultivates both the inside and the outside, and requires that the inside and the outside are consistent, and the upper and lower parts are in harmony, and the whole qi is complete. In other words, a person is a complete body, every action and movement, inside and outside must be consistent, and the upper and lower parts must be consistent, and the upper and lower parts must be consistent. The "**" force is to use the intention and qi, qi and force, the inner and the body are in harmony, the shoulders and hips, elbows and knees, and the outer three combinations of the hands and feet are in harmony. It is necessary to integrate the inside and the outside and the upper and lower parts, and to emphasize that the inside and outside are in harmony, and the upper and lower parts are to carry out the qi with the intention and qi and force are integrated. The intention and qi in the three combinations of the inner and qi and qi are combined, which requires that the various organs of the internal organs of the human body are stronger and coordinated and consistent, so that the energy can be maintained.

Extreme and abundant energy are the "qi of the Dantian" that people often call it the formation. The three external combinations require the cultivation of the eight-small frame to coordinate and all parts of the human body, and generate overall strength. In order to achieve "integration of the inside and the outside, follow the upper and lower parts, and complete the qi. The key to using qi to promote force is the power and the body". Because the power generated by the strike force in fighting is transmitted by the eight joints of the whole body, that is, the innate qi is coordinated with the acquired qi after training to form the "qi of the Dantian". From the perspective of martial arts, it cannot directly hit the target. Only through the body can the qi of the Dantian cultivated in the body be released.

"The human body tortoise integrates the energy of the dantian in the body with the force generated by the attacking parts of the human body to form a "integration of energy and strength" (), forming a strong impact force on the target and its own resistance.

Bajiquan mainly practices four types of strength: hard, soft, brittle, and smooth. Hard and strong practice clumsy power is like crazy, that is, the extremely violent and violent "stunning force"; soft and soft practice is soft and closed, that is, the clever and vigorous force is energetic; brittle force is used to fight, cut, hold, and reveal it, that is, there is defense in the attack, attack in defense, both attack and defense, there is real in the virtual, real in reality, use both virtual and real, and use both hard and soft, and exert the greatest impact effect at the fastest speed; sliding force practices muscles, bones and skin, that is, the energy of the four limbs and eight sections of the human body is integrated, and a coordinated force is formed. Practicing the Baji Small Frame is the best training method to obtain the four strengths that are united inside and outside.

Practice of Baji Small Frame

The practice and drill of Bajiquan small frame are divided into two stages (some teachers have high teaching level, and students have good understanding, and they can also be divided into stages without stages. In short, they vary from person to person and proceed step by step). The first stage is mainly taught by the teacher and regulate the movements. The boxing, palm, and step shapes of each movement must be in place, and then the number of practices increases to enhance the proficiency. After the proficiency is improved, the teacher will adjust the movements one by one. This stage is called fiddling. Boxing Note: Baji frame is extremely important, and it is the foundation of this boxing."

The second stage is the drill stage. When practicing the Eight-Small Frame, it is required to be clear in movement and stillness, as quiet as Mount Tai, and as lightning. When quiet, hold your chest and pull your waist, that is, the chest is relaxed and natural (not hunchbacked), and the lumbar spine is naturally relaxed and stretched; the root of the arm is sinking to the sky, that is, the head is like a top object, and loose shoulders is easy to achieve smooth energy. The tongue should hold the qi, which means that the tip of the tongue is licked in and out of the mouth. The qi is used to close the mouth and lick it in the upper palate. The qi is used to breathe in and out of the nostrils, and the mind is used to guide the body, and breathe naturally.

To store dantian. The three-pumping water of the soul means that you have a sense of impetuousness when practicing, and the qi cannot sink into the dantian. Use Vi to generate body fluids and swallow three times, and at the same time, the upper plate is completely relaxed. Retract the buttocks, that is, the tailbone is raised and lifted up, and cannot be raised backwards. Lift the anus, that is, the anus is contracted. The toes are gripped, that is, the toes are slightly connected inward to grab the ground. The three tips are aligned with the crotch, which is round, that is, when the horse stance is moving, the elbows, the knees, and the toes are vertically vertical, and the crotch is naturally round. When moving, the hands are required to be like meteors and eyes are like electric.

The momentum should be extreme, change quickly, and be sure to be steady. When punching and palm, you should use your mind to attract energy, use your energy to attract force, and use your force to urge the fist. The eyes are wide open, and the hands arrive first. You should not look around. You should combine your eyes with your eyes. Stomping your feet is like a stone piercing the hole, and the steps are like a meteor chasing the moon. When you move the fist, you should use all your strength to emit from the waist, move like a dragon, move like a tiger, and step like a monkey. Attack is as fast as lightning, and retreat is as fast as a fast arrow. When exercising force, you should use the best force, and at the same time blow the air to urge the force, and the sound helps the fist momentum, and the strength is powerful, and the inside and outside must be up and down.

Complete one Qi. The boxing note: "The power must be directed by the meaning, and luck must be driven by force. The root of the feet is in the legs, mainly the waist and the shoulders, and the toes and fingers are produced. The strength is complementary. The energy is exerted by force. The force is generated by the qi. One extreme moves and hundreds of extremes respond. If the other is not possessed, the marrow will be lost..." It should be noted that the most taboos in practicing posture and practice Bajiquan are: bend the chest and bend the knees and buttocks, shrugging the shoulders and shrinking the strength, the body is not upright, the inside and outside are not in line, the upper body is exerted too much force, and the upper body is not in full swing, and the empty practice is not in mind.

When practicing Bajiquan movements, you should properly master the connection speed between the movements based on your own understanding and your own abilities, and at the same time master the amount of exercise and grasp the quality of the movement. According to conventional requirements, when doing each movement, that is, when the static time is not limited, the current body of the disc is supported to the limit.

Change the next action. When changing from stillness to movement, do not exert too violently. As long as you can move your mind, and exercise your strength, you can achieve your strength. When practicing movement, the procedure of closely combining breathing from stillness to movement and from motion to stillness is: inhale before moving, move your qi during movement, and relax your whole body while inhaling after movement, so as to naturally distribute breathing and avoid holding your breath.

In the practice of Bajiquan, not only do you need to fight "stupid" (the feeling of being extremely fierce) but the most important thing is to practice "live". The practice of exercise is to be active in the waist and footwork, use the mind to move qi, use the energy to promote force, and force to be natural, without stiffness or stagnation. When exercising force, you must have softness in hardness and hardness in softness, and the combination of hardness and softness is the best force. In the boxing brochure, "the body is straight, not leaning or biased, the lower plate is stable in eight sides, the tail is straight and the tail is straight and not biased, and the front, back, left and right, and forward and back, can be used freely, so that you can have horizontal force and true power, and you can change and change. The waist should be the main focus, and you can drive the limbs, swallow and vomit, storage and hair, thrust and force, and the combination of hardness and softness should be fast, the force should be crazy from the beginning to the end, the fixed pattern should be stable and the rhythm should be clear."

There is a boxing proverb: "The real skill is outside the boxing." There are two explanations: First, any skill is at the highest level. The skill of fighting is called martial arts, which is the art of martial arts (those who practice martial arts humbly call it practices the posture). All arts are born to be interconnected and gain each other, so military tactics, philosophy, physics, astronomy, Confucianism, medicine, and even dance, can be used as martial arts. Second, "Those who are outstanding in art can accumulate their skills and achieve their skills." This reminds those who practice Bajiquan that in addition to being proficient in various boxing paths, they must be proficient in basic skills. Among them, it is especially important to cultivate internal skills and car progress in order. Practice such skills can increase your skills to avoid deviations. People who hope that practitioners and practitioners can be careful and cautious.?ゼ/p>

1. Rehabilitation skills:

This is a method to consolidate the internal organs, regulate qi and blood, and nourish the spirit. It can calm the heart and calm the liver and strengthen the stomach and intestines, and strengthen the lungs and nourish the essence. There are several methods:

1. Counting breath skills: put your hands on your hips, your legs are parallel, your shoulders are wide apart, your waist is straightened, your chest is opened; your eyes are slightly closed, your eyes are observing the nose, your nose is observing the mouth, your mouth is asking your heart, your tongue is against the upper palate, and your mind is guarding the dantian as you breathe, and all distracting thoughts are discarded. Every breathing is counted, slow inhalation and long exhalation, clear and turbid, and exercise your internal organs to provide health. In addition to upright law, there are also methods of falling down, sleeping (lying) methods, etc. The number of breathing gradually increases from forty-nine times.

During the exercise of counting breaths, you can feel that the true qi rushes down from the Dantian (or slightly guides it), passes the perineum, builds the Magpie Bridge (lightly lifts the anus), goes up the coccyx, Jiaji, and Jade Pillow, and stops at Niwan; then go down to the Magpie Bridge (lightly touching the upper palate), goes down to the heavy tower, passes the Danzhong, enters the Dantian for a little stop. This is called the Yang Fire, turns nine times, and then reverses (called the Yin Retreat) six times, and ends the exercise. This is the small Zhoutian.

After practicing in the previous stage of the meridian, you can enter the yang fire thirty-six times and retreat the Yin Talisman twenty-four times. After you become proficient in the previous stage of the meridian, you can enter the yang fire 216 times and retreat the Yin Talisman 144 times.

2. No breathing exercise (internal dynamic exercise): At midnight, you can perform in a fresh and quiet environment of air. The tongue presses against the upper palate, breathes naturally, eliminates all worries, and guards the dantian. Spontaneously, head, neck, arms, palms, fingers, nails, torso, waist, hips, hips, knees, calves, ankles, feet, toes, and performs relaxation exercises; the mind is inwardly looking at the brain as colorless transparent spherical, with blue blood vessels and capillaries inside, and the blood vessels are very elastic, and they perform rhythmic dilation and contraction movements. The mind can see the red blood cells running in the blood vessels. In this way, looking at each organ and blood with the mind (the mind feels no viscosity, no high blood lipids), bone marrow, etc., everything is normal.

After the stage of Counting the breath, you must enter the meridians and the Great Circumference of the Heavenly Heaven. The route of operation is: When exhaling, the true qi descends from the Niwan Palace (Baihui) to the Tianmu, Queqiao, and then divides it into two to the shoulders after going down to the back of the shoulders. Walk along the inner side of the shoulders to the palm, and then from the fingertips through the back of the hand to the outside of the arm to the Tiantu, go down along the Ren meridian to the lower dantian, and then go around the body one by one along the left and right rings of the Shangle to the Yongquan point, open the Yongquan point to excrete disease and turbid air; inhale the spiritual energy from the Yongquan point into the earth as you inhale

, walk to the back of the big toe of the foot and upward along the inner side of the leg, meet in the perineum, pass the lower magpie bridge, go up the tailbone, pass through the Mingmen, Jiaji, and Jade Pillow, go up to Niwan for a moment, and stop at this time, feel that the Niwan opens and the spiritual energy enters. In this way, complete a cycle and then repeat. When the exercise is completed, collect the true qi at the lower dantian point, and the smaller the point, the better. After the above exercises have passed one stage, the true qi will run around the body, oscillate between the upper, middle, and lower three dantians. When the exercise is completed, the thoughts will collect the true qi of the universe at the lower dantian point.

3. Daily lifestyle: Sleep westward, and after waking up, meditate on the surrounding scenery, check the flow of all parts of the body and blood with qi (mind). Rub the eyebrows, ears, chin with your hands; rub the eyes, teeth, and occipital bones. Extend your fingers and toes 72 times each. Rub your ribs clockwise, counterclockwise nine times each; push and rub them from top to bottom nine times each along both sides of the spine. Straighten your legs, move your toes with your hands, and lean your head on your legs. Rub the soles of your feet with both hands, and the heel and the outside of your feet thirty-six times each. Stand inward for more than three minutes after washing (for patients with hypertension, avoid doing so).

4. Eye-focusing exercise: Close your eyes with your back to the sun, turn your eyes left seven times (nine, twelve, twenty-four, thirty-six times), and turn right again, with the same number of times, and then try your best to open your eyes to the distant scenery. The roots and eyebrows can be used as auxiliary actions for the above two techniques. Night eye exercises can be carried out in the courtyard or outside the wild at night.

5. Conscious ear skills: Listen quietly to the subtle sounds around you, and you can conscientiously rub your ears over time. In winter, you can appropriately use a dry and hot towel to burn the ears and necks on both sides.

6. Tooth-fixing exercise: knock your teeth thirty-six (or seventy-two) times before going to bed and after waking up, or practice it during sitting exercises.

2. Do you have the best of luck?

1. Basin step (horse step, ground plate): The basic skill of the introduction of Bajiquan. By practicing qi downward, it not only enhances the strength of the feet and shins, but also prevents the qi and blood from floating upwards, so it can strengthen the lower plate. The toes slightly buckle inward, the two feet are three wide apart, the ten toes are grasped, the body is squatted, the knees do not exceed the toes, the upper body is upright, the body is pushed upward, the hands are placed on the waist (or both hands extend forward, the palms are turned outward, and the arms are round), loosen the shoulders, loosen the waist, loosen the hips, the two are looking at the moment, breathing is natural, and the qi penetrates the dantian. At the beginning, the legs and feet are often sore, and after a long time, they feel loose and weak, which is a force exchange. You must proceed step by step until you can stand for two hours and still feel relaxed and natural. Practicing this skill can make the feet and shins strong and the lower plate is stable.

There are four taboos in the Baji Territory: Five hearts are not solid. Don’t bend your waist and back when standing. If your waist is bent, the Qi (qi of Qigong) cannot go down. Don’t stand up as soon as you stand. If your legs cannot bear the pain, your progress will be slow and unsuccessful. Don’t shrug your shoulders, tilt your head, stiff your head, look around, your knees over the toes and stick your buttocks. Horse stance is the first of the basic martial arts skills. You must practice hard before practicing boxing, and you should also practice diligently during sleep at night. The teacher said: "Pressing your feet on the wall (or the head of the bed) to form a horse-riding posture, and your legs must not catch cold, as coldness is prone to cramps." "When doing horse-riding posture, the leg muscles must be relaxed."

2. Horse-fighting pile (Ziwu pile, long three styles): short horse; pile step is a half horse. The ground is divided into practice and the pile step is used when facing the enemy. If you use elbow crutches, you must have a short horse; when you put elbow crutches, it becomes a long horse.

3. Lung-step: Practice for left and right transformation.

4. Kneading (pushing) hand exercises: kneading, divided into fixed steps, and exercises of live steps. You need to push and knead 200-300 times a day.

5. Twist step (climbing step, chasing step): It is not suitable to be tall. This exercise focuses on loosening the waist, loosening the hips, closing the knees, and buckle the crotch. After practicing for a long time, the steps will be sharp, the waist, hips, knees, and crotch will be closed. Tell me that when I was young, I went to the market in my hometown, and went back and forth for 18 miles, practiced all the grinding steps, breaking steps, and eight styles. When I was tired, I squatted and stooped the small frame immediately. 6. Rounding hands: riding style, zipping the belt and clenching the fist with the left and right hands to practice the grip of the forearm, palm and horizontal force and ten fingers, and can activate the hips and open the crotch.

7. Lift your knees: hug them, alternate between left and right. Long-term practice can make your legs live.

8. Breathing exercise: Lift the palms upward and inhalation from the bottom to the breasts, then push the hands forward as they exhale, sink the shoulders, spit out the force, then separate the left and right hands, squat down, pick up both hands, and repeat; use the left and right hands to lift them up, and when lifting, your hands turn into fists, and when pushing and putting them, you change your palms.

9. Revitalize the hips: The functions are different. First, stand up and squat down, squat slowly, and squat up more than ten times a day. When squatting, the upper body must be upright, put your hands on your waist, and squat until your hips are shorter than your knees. Finally, practice until your hips are loose and without strength. If the hips can attach to the ground, the tendons connected to the waist will be extended and flexible. The other is the three postures of the two feet, one front and one back, the front legs are slightly arched forward, the hind legs are pressed down, the front hips are swaying forward freely, and the feet and shins are strong and powerful. Both postures require ten toes to grasp the ground, the legs are flat, and the body is upright. When exerting force, exhale from the dantian and look forward.
