At first Gilgamesh was the ruler of Uruk City and committed many evil deeds. His father was Lugalbanda, the fifth king of Uruk; his mother was the goddess Ninsun, the god of the god Anu and the earthly god uras. He relied on his power to rob men and dominate men and women, forcing the residents of the city to build walls and build temples, causing the people to suffer. People in the suffering prayed for the gods in heaven to save themselves, and the god asked Aruru to create a half-human and half-beast warrior Enqidu to fight Gilgamesh. The two used all their skills, but they still did not decide the outcome, and both admired each other's courage.
Dare, so he became sworn brothers and went to benefit the people together, becoming a hero loved by everyone. Gilgamesh and Enqidu worked together to kill the forest monster Raubaba that harmed humans and killed the celestial bull that endangered the residents of Uruk. But because of killing the celestial bull, he offended the gods, and the gods punished them, and one of the two must die. As a result, Enqidu died. Gilgamesh was very sad. He felt the terrible death and prayed for the help of God. He crossed the mountains and seas, went through hardships, and finally found the place where his ancestors who were included in the gods' genealogy lived. He knew from his ancestors that there was a fairy grass
He could regain his life, so he jumped into the sea without hesitation to search. Unexpectedly, when he was bathing in the water spring, the fairy grass he found was taken away by a snake. Gilgamesh was discouraged and returned to Uruk City helplessly. At this time, he missed his deceased friend Eqidu even more, so he asked God to meet the ghost of Eqidu. He asked Eqidu to tell him the "laws of the earth", and then he realized that people cannot live forever. [bsp; In the distant ancient times, human beings were still in their ignorant childhood, and their understanding of nature was just beginning, but they were facing the powerful
When people are in power of nature, they often realize the insignificance of their own power, and the control of their destiny is controlled by an invisible force - they call this unknown power God. As time goes by, human power gradually becomes stronger, and people seem to foresee the possibility of defeating nature. They begin to fantasize and expect a powerful person among their kind to appear to complete the great cause of defeating nature on their behalf. Therefore, some people say that the so-called "heroes come from troubled times" and "heroes are created in times of time" are actually more precisely because of people's calls and expectations that make heroes.
Gilgamesh is a real historical figure. His heroic achievements have been given magical and romantic colors in people's long-term praises, like all other heroic epics. People have entrusted many beautiful emotions and wishes in Gilgamesh, such as beauty, strength, justice, courage, friendship, etc.
The literary creations in the Mesopotamia in ancient times were very rich, the most famous of which was "theepicofgilgamesh". It is the first epic in human history. It was circulated among the Sumerians more than 4,000 years ago. After thousands of years of processing and refining, it was finally fixed in writing during the ancient Babylonian Kingdom (19th century BC-16th century BC) and became a masterpiece.
This epic tells the legendary story of the hero Gilgamesh's life.
He is not just a legend, but actually exists.
He has the highest divine nature of two-thirds being gods and one-third being humans. He is the perfect type of transcendent in all the world, and no one in the world can match him.
He was originally a tyrant who ignored the suffering of the people, but after becoming friends with Enqi, his behavior began to change.
The people oppressed by Gilgamesh complained to God, so the goddess Aruru made the first man created by God, that is, Enchidu.
Enchidu and Gilgamesh were strongly aware of each other's existence, and they knew that one day they would meet each other.
Although Gilgamesh was afraid of Enchi, who was his enemy, it didn't take long before the two became confidants, shared the throne and governed the country equally.
Gilgamesh and Enchi fought against the forest guardian, the divine beast Finbaba, and became the best king in the world. They took all their treasures into their pockets.
At that time, Gilgamesh was so dazzling and powerful that even the gods were fascinated by his style.
And a goddess fell in love with Gilgamesh like this. But when the goddess of harvest Ishdar proposed to the perfect king Gilgamesh, he refused without even thinking about it.
That's because he knew that Ishdar was a cruel, capricious witch who enjoyed harming men.
Ishdar was irritated by the insults of Gilgamesh, and she drove the heavenly bull of the Father God Annu to the earth in revenge.
No one can stop this divine beast, and the earth has been shrouded in famine and destruction for seven years.
Gilgamesh and Enchi joined forces to deal with the Bull of Heaven and beautifully repel it. The goddess lost face again.
Ishdar's anger will naturally not be calmed down. She asked the gods to kill one of Gilgamesh and Enchidu on the charge that she dared to kill the divine beast.
Ishdar's wish was accepted by the gods, so one of the two, the Enchi created by God, could not disobey the destiny and gradually weakened and died.
That is the beginning of Gilgamesh's downhill journey.
Enchi, the only friend who has power that is no less than himself and may be better than himself, died. This fact has had a great impact on Gilgamesh.
Gilgameshi was frightened by his anxiety about "death", and embarked on a journey to the underworld to pursue immortality.
After a long journey and all kinds of hardships, Gilgamesh finally got the immortal elixir.
But on the way home, the snake took the elixir while he was taking a bath. He lost his immortality and kept sighing and leaving the world.
The hero Gilgamesh knelt down by the pond, holding his face with his hands and burst into tears. He now understood that what people told him was the truth: even the greatest and bravest heroes are human beings, so they must learn to live happily, experience the happiness in front of them, and finally accept the inevitable fate.
Legend has it that the reason why snakes were able to shed their skin and grow new bodies was because they secretly took Gilgamesh's spiritual medicine. The whole poem ended here.
