11 Where does the ancient well bind the blue dragon
Pingyou Port is located on the seaside 30 kilometers away from the southern end of the Binhai. Binhai is located in a narrow peninsula area, with seas on both sides of the east and west. After extending south to Pingyou Port, it is still the sea. Longwangtang is located at the narrowest point of the peninsula land between Binhai City and Pingyou Port. The straight line distance between the east and west beaches is only one kilometer. There was originally only a small fishing village here, and after decades of development, a large market town has been formed. The coast is mountainous, and the peninsula terrain is also formed by continuous mountains extending into the sea. In the mountains near Longwangtang, there are two legends that have been passed down from unknown era.
The first legend is about an ancient well. There is a well on the mountain near Longwangtang, with iron chains in it, and a black dragon is locked under the iron chain. Similar legends are not unique to the coastal areas in China. There are legends about ancient wells locking dragons in Yunnan, Shanxi, Henan, Beijing and other places. Feng Junzi once saw more than one ancient well with iron chains when he was young. Why did the wellhead penetrate into the ground with a long iron chain? Many people don’t know now.
Not long ago, an ancient well was dug during construction on Yonghegong Station of Beijing Metro Line 5. Beijing citizens were discussing whether this was the legendary Beixinqiao Locking Longjing. The legend about Beixinqiao Ancient Well is as follows: This well runs directly through the Beihai Eye, and an iron chain locks a dragon to suppress Feng Shui underground. During the Japanese invasion of China and occupation of Beiping, the Japanese soldiers wanted to pull out the iron chains in this ancient well to see what happened. As a result, the iron chain was pulled out and the iron chain had not been pulled yet, but it made a roar from the bottom of the well. At the same time, the black water in the well was churning, and the Japanese military police were so scared that they dared to pull it.
Feng Junzi noticed the legend in Beijing because the content of the legend is almost exactly the same as the legend of the ancient well of Longwangtang, Binhai. It is said that during the Japanese occupation in the 1930s, Japanese soldiers also found the ancient well of Longwangtang to see what happened. The same thing happened when pulling the iron chain. As a result, the Japanese soldiers threw a few grenades into the well, but the grenades fell into the well without exploding. In a rage, the Japanese soldiers covered the well with stone slabs and completely sealed the well, so the ancient well can no longer be found.
The content of the legends in Beijing and Binhai is so close, and there are many similar ancient wells all over the country. Feng Junzi specifically consulted his friend, Professor Song Zhaonan, a professor at Binhai University of Finance and Economics, and a famous folklorist. According to Professor Song's analysis, most folk legends are based on historical events, but the time and place may change during the circulation, which means that the incident of Japanese soldiers and the Gujing Iron Chain occurred in history. This incident later became the source of folk legends in Beijing or Binhai.
The second legend about Longwangtang is the underground maze. The coastal beach is a typical reef terrain. The huge rocks are washed by sea water and left many large and small cracks and holes. It is said that there is a continuous passage in the cracks on the mountain near Longwangtang. It extends windingly for thirty miles to pass through the entire peninsula and walk to the beach at the other end of the peninsula.
Not long ago, a fisherman found a very long crack on the seaside cliff near Longwangtang. Some reporters took tools into the crack and explored it. After walking in for more than 30 meters, they were too narrow to pass, and there was no result in the end. This matter was also taken to several local newspapers in Binhai. Feng Junzi didn't pay attention at the time, but now he remembered it.
The above two legends were told to Taomuling by Feng Junzi. When Feng Junzi spoke, Taomuling was not talking and listening carefully. It was not until Feng Junzi finished speaking that he took a sip of water that Taomuling asked: "Feng Junzi, is the legend you said possible that is true? I mean the ancient well."
Feng Junzi: "I have a friend who specializes in folk customs. He said that this legend may be a real event that existed in history, and this real event occurred in Longwangtang, Binhai. The reason is very simple, because during the Japanese occupation, the place name Longwangtang was changed into Heilongjing, and Heilongjing is the legendary ancient well that locks the black dragon."
Taomu Ling: "Why is the legendary Gujing always related to Japanese soldiers? This is true in Binhai and in Beijing. Are you Chinese not curious about yourself, and no one has ever pulled those iron chains?"
Feng Junzi: "It's not the case. There is such an ancient well in Henan. There is also the same legend, but the person who pulls the iron chains is not the Japanese soldiers but the Red Guards. The incident happened in the 1960s. When the Red Guards broke the four olds and demolished a local Dayu Temple, they wanted to pull out the iron chains in an ancient well in the temple. As a result, the same thing happened as in the two legends above."
Taomuling: "Red Guards? Destroy the Four Olds? Which army is this? Have you Chinese also done the same things as Japanese soldiers in your own territory?"
Feng Junzi was speechless for a moment, and knew that he couldn't explain clearly in a few words, so he was too lazy to explain: "Let's not think about other issues. The key is whether the ancient well of Heilongjing is related to your purpose of going to Longwangtang?"
Taomuling: "I went to Longwangtang just to find some old people to see if anyone has seen these chopsticks before. I have never heard of the legend you just told."
Feng Junzi: "Then what do you want to know?"
Taomuling: "Didn't I tell you all the first night I arrived at your house?"
Feng Junzi: "It's a pity that I forgot everything that night. Really, I don't remember what happened that night at all." Feng Junzi finally couldn't help but tell the truth.
Taomuling didn't seem surprised at all when she heard Feng Junzi's words, but said calmly: "Feng Junzijun, I'm really sorry, but you have promised me not to ask again. I don't think you are the one who doesn't keep your word, right?"
Feng Junzi was so amused that he had promised Taomuling that he didn't remember anything. Anyway, Taomuling would do whatever he said. At this time, Taomuling continued to ask: "What are you getting to see the old man with these chopsticks?"
Feng Junzi: "Mr. Xiao said nothing. He asked me to go to Longwangtang to take a look, and said he should ask you."
Taomuling: "This old man is a good man, and he also asks you to help me."
Feng Junzi had no choice but to face this strange woman who could know anything in his heart. He had just thought about why Mr. Xiao wanted to help Taomuling himself, and Taomuling had already said it. He thought in his heart, how should he help her? Do you really have to go to Longwangtang to take a look and see what? That ancient well? I'm afraid I can't find the ancient well. By the way, wasn't there just a strange death case of five family members in Longwangtang? Feng Junzi just thought of this when he heard Taomuling's voice say in his ear: "Do you want to accompany me to Longwangtang? Maybe you can find some clues from other things."
Feng Junzi: "If I don't accompany you, you'd better stay at my house and not go out. Don't forget that you are now a stalker. I will find someone to accompany me."
Taomuling nodded obediently. Feng Junzi also discovered one of the advantages of Taomuling: although she seemed to be able to see through people's hearts, she consciously did not go against the will of others. If something happened just now, she would definitely clamor for her to go with her.
