Chapter 7 Back to Los Angeles

"I'll write the script as soon as possible when I go back, and then I'll ask you to help me check it out."

"No problem, I will bother you at that time. My thoughts are not as mature as you are. I am just a thought. I always feel like I want to catch something but I am always a little bit worse."

"Can you tell me? Maybe I can give some idea. There is an old Chinese saying, 'Three cobblers are better than one Zhu Liang', right?" Chen Tian said with a smile.

"Actually, it's a bit like you at the beginning. The protagonist wakes up and finds himself trapped in an abandoned toilet. However, I have another person, but it's also unfolded in a sealed environment.

One important prop is a chainsaw, but I didn't think about the specific details, but one thing is that I want to focus on creating a scene where flesh and blood is flying, and bringing crazy visual impact to the audience through this scene."

Wan Ziren's words are not the feature of the series of Chainsaws, but also confirm that Chainsaws are still an unformed idea.

At this moment, Chen Tian had an idea, that is, he should not miss this almost the most profitable and low-cost series in the history of movies.

"Simply relying on such visual impact is enough to attract a large number of audiences, but relying solely on flesh and blood stimulation seems to be lacking."

"Yes, bloody and blood are just superficial. Now my thoughts are still lacking in a soul. A movie is absolutely not OK without a soul. Most American horror movies are like this.

To put it bluntly, it is to use bloody, cruel and realistic lenses to make people acid-repel and thus achieve box office revenue, but what I want to do is different from them. I want to find a good idea, but I always feel that it is a little bit worse."

"This needs to be taken slowly, and maybe inspiration will come and knock on the door at some point."

Wen Ziren pointed to his head: "I know, but you must know that the feeling of depression is uncomfortable.

So I went to Las Vegas to give myself a break, maybe when I returned to Los Angeles, I would be able to make inspiration knock my head on the initiative.”

"Actually, I have an idea, why not try another way. Nowadays, excellent horror thrillers use nothing more than making the audience feel fear of death, unknown, and loneliness.

This allows the audience to enter the inner state of the characters in the film and experience what fear is. As long as they do it, it will be an excellent horror film."

"Yes, this is the status quo. You must have some good ideas." Wen Ziren's eyes were full of excitement. He felt that Chen Tian might be the one who could let inspiration hit his brain.

"Under the threat of death, the protagonist has a contradiction of self-awareness and identity, thus forming madness and fear, just like forming a second extremely evil personality."

"Extremely evil personality? Questioning the inherent goodness of human nature, just like Frankenstein shows?"

"Yes, but we still need to process it on this basis, and force ordinary people to make decisions that go against their own will and destroy others and themselves in intentionally set desperate situations, and all this is just for survival.

In order to survive, he has to do these things, even if he himself doesn't want to, he will always choose one of life and death."

Listening to Chen Tian's words, Wen Ziren was very excited: "wow, Chen, you are an absolute genius. What is your brain in it? I have already felt the inspiration knocking my head. As long as I pull it gently, it will come in."

"I have to write it down. People's heads are always forgetful. If I forget these, I think I should find a place to solve myself." Wen Ziren took out a small notebook from his pocket and wrote it quickly on it.

What he said to Wan Ziren was mixed with his own understanding, but it was indeed something that a horror movie urgently needed. Just like Wan Ziren said, blood only brought the surface.

Similarly, the surface of "Buried Alive" is a suffocating closed space and helplessness, while the soul integrates a large amount of information, amplifies it, and then completes the stories about life and death, belief and trust, burial and salvation below the surface.

With the surface and soul, the remaining expression decoration is the use of the script's lines to the camera.

Chen Tian has studied "Burbed Live" for more than ten times and always feels that he is a little worse in the end. Even if he can add new highlights in the previous shooting, he still feels that he still cannot fully highlight his despair to the point of hope and then despair.

Looking at the quickly flashing scenery outside the window, Chen Tian closed his eyes, as inspiration he said to Wen Ziren might knock on the door at any time, and at this moment Chen Tian found the missing point.

The close-up of the phone battery that appears repeatedly in the original film is almost gone, but the close-up is not given again at the end. This is what Chen Tian always feels like.

What Chen Tian is thinking about now is that when the guan person's apology came from the other end of the phone, he gave the protagonist a close-up shot, and gave the phone a two-second close-up shot of running out of battery and automatically shutting down. In this shot, the desperate eyes exposed by the protagonist's buried in the sand were included in the scene until the light on the phone screen was completely extinguished.

Although it only takes about two seconds to close-up, such an increase will undoubtedly give the audience a more desperate impact, and can even achieve the finishing touch.

Thinking of this, Chen Tian couldn't wait to return to Los Angeles and write out the script and storyboard script in detail as soon as possible, and then start filming immediately.

Wen Ziren beside him also wanted to improve his ideas as soon as possible, and then turn them into film and put them on the big screen as soon as possible.

"It's coming, this is the most valuable journey in my life, but unfortunately it's only 100 minutes."

"So too. I think you promised me and won't forget what you did, right? If nothing unexpected happens, I will send you a script tomorrow, and then you will come and help." Chen Tian curled his lips, "I want to declare that I am a poor person, so don't expect me to give you how much money."

"You stingy guy, I will not pay you any more if I ask you for help." Wen Ziren and Chen Tian hugged, "I can't wait to see you tomorrow."

"See you tomorrow." Chen Tian waved his hand and left.

Back to the rental house in Chinatown in my memory, it was the house of Grandma Wang, the director of the orphanage. Chen Tian grew up in the orphanage before traveling, and Grandma Wang treated him like his biological grandmother.

His rental house is also a bedroom in Grandma Wang's house. Chen Tian didn't know why she had no children or a wife.

Since he grew up, he has lived here, and Chen Tian only has to pay Grandma Wang a rent of $200 a month, which is much cheaper than other places.

"Xiaotian, are you back? Are you exhausted? Are you hungry? I have some pudding cake you like to eat here." Grandma Wang immediately asked with concern when she saw Chen Tian coming back with her suitcase. Although Chen Tian was not her biological grandson, she treated Chen Tian like her own child.

The only difference between Grandma Wang in front of him is that she is younger. Here Chen Tian felt the love of his elders, and now he saw Grandma Wang and Chen Tian’s mood getting better.

"Grandma, I'm not hungry now, but you keep it for me and I'll eat it later."

"Okay, I'll keep it for you, hurry up and go to rest."

"Yes." Chen Tian picked up the suitcase and returned to his room.

Chen Tian’s room is very simple and has not been well decorated. There is a sleeping wardrobe and a TV facing cube.

Behind the window is a long desk, and to the left is a desktop computer facing the window.

Next to the computer is a simple bookshelves filled with burrs.

Putting down his suitcase, Chen Tian turned on the computer immediately without packing his things. He wanted to complete the script of "Buried Live" as soon as possible.

This script is the source of his first pot of gold in his life. Only by completing this script can he take the first step.
