Chapter 5: A question that doesn't fit together?

Wei Ming looked at Mr. Kong carefully.

Sure enough, Mr. Kong is different from others now. There is a faint green line around his body that marks the border of his body.

It's indeed a green stunner!

As expected, people with culture are different, and their eloquence is much better than rural village men.

Wei Ming thought to himself: "He is in such a hurry to leave, so why doesn't something happen to his sister-in-law at home..."

Anyway, there is no punishment for failing to refute, it is just a loss of a chance.

This is the first time Wei Ming has encountered a green lever, so of course he has to try to refute it!

This time, there are three entries on the left: First, Hanwa is a smart child; second, Mr. Kong is a little talented and knowledgeable; third, it is not because Mr. Kong’s educational method is wrong.

On the right there are more memory fragments about Hanwa, Mr. Kong and Li Erniu.

However, perhaps because it was the green bar sensation, Wei Ming's thinking time increased from one minute to ten minutes!

Wei Ming felt that this time might not be that easy.

He first reviewed the existing memory fragments.

In fact, although he is a neighbor, he is not particularly close to Wang Dahu's family.

Because he is the only son, Widow Wang has strict protection for the naive baby. He rarely lets him go out and walk around, nor does he lets him play with "bad" children such as Wei Xiaoji, Li Erniu, and Zhang Tiezhu.

Teacher Kong is also a well-educated man with a sense of majesty. He doesn't usually come out and walk around. He only talks a few times when passing by.

Therefore, Wei Ming’s memories of Hanwa and Teacher Kong are all based on impressions and rumors from other villagers, and there is no actual evidence.

Sure enough, the green lever is not that easy to deal with!

The second entry is the best thing to conquer.

No matter how poor Mr. Kong's level is, he is still the most educated person in the village.

Wei Ming carefully recalled their past conversations and then chose to answer.

"Mr. Kong, the 'Uncle Chai' you just mentioned... Which village is Uncle Chai from? Why is it bleeding?" Wei Ming asked intentionally.

"Haha," Mr. Kong was amused by Wei Ming, "I was not talking about Uncle Chai, and I didn't bleed. That was an idiom saying that my level was limited."

"Oh!" Wei Ming nodded, "You are still educated. We can't speak the idiom you said."

It was obvious that Mr. Kong was a little shaken by Wei Ming's flattery, but this was not enough to break the entry.

Wei Ming continued: "It's not just an idiom, you are always full of words from sages. I remember what I heard you say last time and what to ask for your son..."

The more Wei Ming said, the more outrageous he became, Mr. Kong said seriously: "It's not about learning from his son, but about Confucius saying: Isn't it true that he learns and practices it from time to time?"

"Yes, yes! Isn't that a good thing?" Wei Ming smiled, "There is another sentence similar, why does learning and good work come from?"

"If you study well, you will be an official!" Mr. Kong looked at Wei Ming's "intelligent" look and sighed.

Why doesn’t he want to enter the official career?

He studied hard for ten years and had a high opinion of himself, and compared himself to Wolong's rebirth.

Unfortunately, he failed many tests and was a little discouraged when he reached middle age. He became a master under his former magistrate.

The former magistrate valued him very much. If it weren't for that matter, why would he have fallen into this remote countryside to enlighten his children?

"But you are a scholar after all, and you are also a person who has worked with the master." Wei Ming said, "We have never heard of the words you said in our lifetime."

Hearing Wei Ming's praise, Mr. Kong couldn't help but remember the affirmation of his former magistrate before his death.

"Mr. Ren, it seems that I have fallen in the past two years." He suddenly rekindled his confidence.

The entries about his lack of talent and knowledge also spread out gently.

Wei Ming had a lot of compliments to say, but since the entry has been cracked, that's enough.

"It's time to conquer Hanwa's level." Wei Ming thought to himself.

"Actually, it's all because of your own reasons." Wei Ming silently changed the topic, "He is a famous idiot in our village. We don't usually take him to play with him."

In fact, the naive baby doesn’t play with them, mainly because Widow Wang is very strict, but it’s okay to say the other way around.

Hearing this, Mr. Kong's face changed, showing a little pain, and suddenly said, "How much does it mean to be seventeen times thirty-five?"

Wei Ming: "???"

Why do you still ask questions when you have a disagreement?

Wei Ming is a modern person and has never practiced mental arithmetic. He is used to using calculators, so he has never calculated himself after the college entrance examination.

He broke his fingers for a long time, but he still couldn't figure it out.

"It's five hundred and ninety-five," said Mr. Kong, "what one hundred and twenty-eight times sixty-three?"

Wei Ming: "!!!"

Are you going crazy?

Can you just take other people’s math questions by using green bar leverage?

Don’t you know that you can do anything except math problems?

"It's eight thousand sixty-four," Mr. Kong said again.

Are you showing off to me?

Wouldn't I just praise you for your knowledge?

Are you so proud?

But the "Code of Reverse Bargaining" tells him that emotional outflow will lead to failure of refutation.

Mr. Kong is so handsome, it must be his reason.

Wei Ming suppressed his anger and exclaimed: "It's not a shame that Mr. Kong is just smart."

"No, this is not what I calculated." Mr. Kong smiled bitterly and said, "How can I have such good skills?"

"Didn't it..." Wei Ming had a bad premonition, "Is it a fool?"

"That's him," said Mr. Kong. "I was teaching him to memorize the Three Character Classic just now, and his mother suddenly came in. You know, after Wang Dahu passed away, the accountant and housekeeper left, so she asked me these two questions. I was about to get the abacus, and Hanwa opened his mouth and said the answer. I used the abacus twice, but the result was not bad at all. So, Hanwa is a genius! It is actually a problem of my ability if I can't teach him."

Wei Ming: "!!!"

Are you waiting for me here?

If a silly widow needs to have this computing power, how can I refute the first one?

Could it be that the silly kid is really a genius?

Isn’t it said that only the purple lever will deliberately set traps for your opponent?

How could you do this green lever?

wrong!

There must be some undiscovered loopholes in this!

Wei Ming quickly entered a state of thinking again and re-cluttered the relevant memory fragments.

He was sure that neither he had heard of the silly widow's talent in math, nor during the rumors or contacts.

Did he know the answer in advance?

But how can we prove this?

Then, in the fragments of memory, Wei Ming caught a glimpse of the local eggs that were skewed into strings with hay net bags by himself.

He was immediately hit by inspiration!

Maybe I can try it!

"So Mr. Kong, what is the equivalent of one hundred and eighty divided by forty-nine?" Wei Ming asked.

Mr. Kong: “???”

Why have you started to draw questions?
